Veterinary Hospital Status


In addition, a number of Veterinary Hospitals are approved by the BSAVA. The name "Veterinary Hospital" can be used only
by those practices that conform to standards that are the same as
those used by the BSAVA, but with additional requirements such as
the provision of high quality hospitalisation facilities and on-site
24 hour nursing care. All Veterinary Hospitals are inspected by
the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to ensure that they meet
these standards. These Veterinary Hospitals may then apply to be
included under the BSAVA Practice Standards Scheme.
