Mercer and Hughes Veterinary Surgery

Mercer and Hughes are an independent small animal veterinary practice with surgeries in Stansted Mountfitchet (near Bishops Stortford), Dunmow, and Saffron Walden. Our new vet surgery in Braintree (Bocking) opened September 2019. Our veterinary services cover Bishop’s Stortford, Braintree and the surrounding areas. The modern hospital at our Saffron Walden practice provides 24 hour care to our in-patients, whilst day surgeries are carried out across all three of our branches. Home visits by a vet or vet nurse are also available by arrangement. All of our practices are accredited under the RCVS.

Our aim is to help keep your pet well and healthy at every life stage. To help support you we offer puppy socialisation classes, obesity and weight management clinics, flea and worming treatments, and senior wellness clinics. And of course our emergency vet service is on hand 24/7 should you need us.

Mercer and Hughes Vets have been around for over 40 years, growing from a small rural practice and treating generations of pets.
