General information about this Surgery:

THE ANIMAL HEALTH CENTRE
Vet Practice - Hospital Care - Emergencies

Dear Pet-Owner

My name is Hendrik Fahrenholt and I am the Principal Veterinary Surgeon and Owner of The Animal Health Centre in Shrewsbury. You can click straight onto our website using the link at the top left of this page.

We are a small animal practice. We are just outside the town centre, a stone's throw from the Priory and Meole Schools, close to the Radbrook Green Shopping Centre and Sweetlake Business Park.

We have specially designed our Practice so that pets feel as reassured and as comfortable as possible. We have longer appointment times at no extra cost so that pets get a chance to relax and we really get to know them. This is when good medicine flourishes. We have a large car park so you can park right by our entrance, a spacious airy waiting room and customer cloakroom with baby-changing facilities. We are fully weelchair accessible.

I feel very lucky to work with wonderful people in a lovely environment doing a job I so enjoy. We welcome people popping in to meet us and to have a look round. Or, please ring us on 01743 369 999 for friendly, free advice about your pet's health.

Kind regards, Hendrik

"What a Brilliant Veterinary Practice"

We have been with this practice for several years now and our 22 year old Jack Russell Salty has always received the highest standard of care from Hendrik and his staff . Our pets well being and welfare always comes first. Nothing is to much trouble I just wished we were treated with such dignity , professionalism and compassion when we visit NHS facilities what a difference it would make. Salty recently underwent major dental extractions under the care of Hendrik and his veterinary nurses. The pre op health assessment ,anaesthesia, iv fluids during and after surgery, monitoring during surgery and post op recovery care she received was of an extremely high standard and when we collected her in the evening she was so calm and content after such a major procedure and Hendrik and the veterinary nurse made absolutely sure she was totally stable and okay to be discharged into our care. The post op follow on appointments were all conducted in s very thorough and professional caring manner. This veterinary practice and all its staff are absolutely brilliant I can with confidence 100% recommend them to pet owners who want their animals to be treated with care, compassion and to the highest veterinary care standards I have ever seen .
