We offer several surgeries each weekday, including a morning open surgery at which animals can be seen without an appointment (afternoon and evening surgeries are by appointment). There is also an open surgery on Saturday mornings.

Our vets are also employed by DEFRA to carry out TB testing, movement licensing, export licensing, abortion enquiries, anthrax testing etc.
In current times the emphasis is on herd health planning and biosecurity. The position of the farm vet is vital, not only in treating sick animals, but in preventing disease outbreaks and in maintaining vigilance in spotting emerging viral diseases such as Bluetongue, Avian Influenza and Swine Fever.
